Spa-quality facial at home

25 Aug 2020

The past few months have been a crazy time for all of us, to say the least. Our lives have changed dramatically with most of us not being able to return back to work or school. There is definitely a lot of anxiety and fear around the uncertainty in our world which is why we need to take care of our mental health more than ever. While we're all stuck inside practising social distancing measures, take this time to properly treat yourself to a facial at home. Sure, the spa is a luxury that not all of us can splurge on but you can easily bring the spa to your home.

Let's not forget that professional spa therapists and estheticians go through years of training to deliver the best experience. Obviously, we won't be able to copy their skills but we can easily recreate the relaxing experience. Here are 7 easy DIY tips on how you can achieve a spa-quality facial at home. Take a break from your early morning Zoom meetings or online university lectures and indulge yourself in a luxury experience. You deserve it.

Create a relaxing atmosphere

Add a few drops of lavender essential oil and bath with Epsom salt. Light up some candles and turn on your favourite music to create the perfect relaxing atmosphere.

Remove any makeup or product left.
We recommend Manyo pure cleansing oil.

Melt off dead skin cells and reveal radiant skin.
We recommend Manyo galactomy peeling gel.

Massage in a mask

A facial wouldn’t feel right without some kind of face mask. Leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes. If possible sit in the bath or warm shower and just let that mask steam super gently on your face.
We recommend La Muse Skin repair signature mask pack.

Once you remove the mask, lock in the hydration with your favourite serum or moisturiser. We recommend manyo galactomy Essence cream.

Body Cleansing & Massage

Wash away all the stress by lathering on body cleanser. Using a gentle body cleanser with exfoliating properties can help achieve baby-smooth skin. We recommend La Muse perfume recovery body cleanser.
Gently massage your body with a body cream. Not only will your body feel super soft, you will also smell fresh and lovely. We recommend La Muse perfume recovery body cream.

Finish off the facial by hydrating your body with a relaxing herbal tea.
