With the rise in popularity of K-Dramas, Korean fashion has gained increasing attention and at the centre of the spotlight are the leading actresses. The trendy and sophisticated style of the female leads have attracted fashion lovers from all over the globe. At OLIVIA, we gain a lot of style inspiration from Korean actresses. Here are 4 of our style muses that are currently shaping the fashion industry in Korea. We have compiled some of our favourites looks on and off screen to help you find some inspiration too.

1. Ryeo-won Jung 정려원

Yoana is a Korean-Australian actress who has starred in steady selling romance and medical dramas. She is frequently spotted at the front rows of the hottest fashion shows at Seoul Fashion Week. This is no surprise as she is widely recognised for her modern and feminine style on and off the screen. One of her key looks is the oversized trench coat styled with long wide pants which create a modern silhouette and accentuates her tall figure. She tends to opt for more neutral tones and accessorises with chunky handbags.

2. Donna Bae 배두나

If you're into films and K-Dramas, you have probably seen Doona quite frequently on the screens. Donna has starred in several Hollywood films like Cloud Atlantis, Sense 8 and the latest hit Netflix show, Kingdom. Not only is she well-known for her charming acting skills, she is also admired for her edgy fashion sense. She is frequently spotted dressed in monochromatic looks which create a chic aesthetic. Mimic her look by colour co-ordinating your outfits and adding a pop of colour through your bags and accessories.

3. Ji-hyun Jun 전지현

Ji-hyun is the original heartthrob of Korea. Since starring in popular films like My Sassy Girl and My Love From the Star, her goddess looks and quirky persona have attracted a large fanbase in Korea. Ji-hyun is known for the variety in her style. On screen, she tends to dress in classy and glamorous pieces that accentuates her figure. Mimic her formal look by accessorising with chunky jewellery and belts and finish off with a sexy red lip. In contrast, Ji-hyun is frequently spotted in casual feminine looks off screen. Achieve her style by matching a chic black dress with white sneakers to create a classy streetwear look.

4. Yeji Seo 서예지

Yeji quickly rose to fame this year for her role in the popular Netflix K-Drama, It's Okay Not to be Okay. Her character, Moon-young, embodied a confident and sassy woman. Her style matched this persona as her outfits were bold and eccentric. If you like experimenting with different styles, we highly recommend Yeji's style. Her key look was a shirt dress with puffed shoulders matched with a corset which cinched in her waist. Another key look was a hot pink coloured dress with bold floral prints. Yeji matched her outfits with simple jewellery to balance out her look while experimenting with different hairstyles to match her outfit.
